Sedan Delivery played The Oakwood Pub in Eastwood last night and had a great night. The gig marked the debut of the two new guys, namely Steve and Jon, both of whom succeeded in adding to the sound of the band in spectactular fashion.
The appreciative crowd enjoyed the band going through some new numbers such as Southern Man, Albuquerque, Words and Harvest Moon. There was also a little acoustic set with Jon on dobro and Nigel on guitolin for Too Far Gone before Stephen came on and sung three-part harmony with Andy and Jon for Human Highway which delighted the crowd. An impromptu Ohio then followed before the band closed the first set with a blistering Cowgirl In The Sand.
The second set kicked off with Alabama before the band played a beautiful rendition of Winterlong which was rather apt due to the recent cold snap. The band then closed the evening out with some rocking and rollicking versions of Like A Hurricane, Powderfinger, Hey Hey, My My and Rockin’ In The Free World before sending the crowd home happy with a suitably loose Roll Another Number.
A sincere thanks to those people who managed to come down and see the band. Your support, as always, is most appreciated.
Roll on the 10th November!
